Anthrax, one of the BIG FOUR in “thrash metal” (others are Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer), turns the big 4-0 this year. As a celebration, the revolutionary band offers a global livestream event, available until next Sunday, for all to enjoy on repeat. The performance spanned the band’s entire forty year career in playing their biggest hits, new and old, filmed at The Den in Los Angeles, CA. The set list spans the band’s entire career and honor the landmark anniversary.
Showcasing their seemingly effortless talent and energy, the band was brought to the stage with an electric instrumental intro. It’s no wonder they’ve been named as one of the top bands who have revolutionized the metal scene; influencing millions of fans and many musicians alike.
Artists in every sense, thought and efforts are poured into every detail of their work, honing in to the rich themes of each album and track while breaking into heavy and memorable guitar solos that are performed seamlessly throughout the stream. Over the last forty years, the bands have covered every monologue, from the idea that there’s good and evil in the world to digging into the abyss of darkness to find what they could pull out from it. Anthrax’s messages in their music have spoken to many throughout the generations, and they will continue to do so as they celebrate in their success as a band.
Every guitar solo throughout the performance stuns, and the artists appear as if they’re not even breaking a sweat as they thrash their heads, kick into the air, and perform increasingly difficult riffs, drum solos, and powerfully intense vocals.
Throughout the stream, big names in the music industry such as Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine), Steve Harris (Iron Maiden), Henry Rollins, Shavo Odadjian (System Of A Down), congratulate the band for their revolutionary 40 years filled with “mosh-worthy breakdowns,” and efforts as musicians. Later in the performance, surprise guest Chuck D. of Public Enemy joined the stage, where he performed onstage with the band.
Included in a ticket, a behind the scenes look into the band and why they’re considered “The Big Four,” over the last 40 years with a who’s who of video testimonials that features band members, fellow musicians, colleagues and industry veterans sharing behind-the-scenes stories of the band’s legendary career.
Join us for this exclusive look into why Anthrax is one of the BIG FOUR! Tickets are available for the event until Sunday, July 25th, at 11:59 EST, here.
