“sweet and sour” is a bold new debut single from Amelia Moore which highlights her honest feelings. The track highlights her beautiful voice which has already gained her over 50,000 followers on Spotify even before the release of her first single.
The 20-year-old Georgia based singer has candidly captured her own self through the raw lyrics of the song. In her own words, Amelia shares, “This song is a perfect statement of who I am as a person,” The young, savvy and candid artist, Amelia Moore is creating her own brand of powerful yet introspective pop tracks. She was discovered by August Royals — one of the frontmen of BROCKHAMPTON. Since then she was teasing her single “sweet and sour” on TikTok for over 400K followers of hers, she also created her own challenge on TikTok and it has over 6k created.
The song is composed of ethereal beats, sharp guitar tons with sudden shifts and an intense outro. This new track was produced by her frequent collaborator Pink Slip. The lyrics speak to everyone in one way or the other, probing the listeners to accept their own complexity. “One of my main goals is to elevate what we expect from pop artists, and usher in a wave of weirder, edgier, more left-of-center music with production that’s really crazy but also refined,” says Moore.
“sweet and sour” is just the beginning, Moore is currently working hard on a debut EP which is set to be released later this year. “I’ve been working so hard over the past few years, and waited until I found the most authentic version of my music before putting anything out,” she says. “I hope my songs make people feel powerful, and inspire them to believe in themselves and trust their gut no matter what everyone else is doing. You really can alter your reality, and it’s completely up to you to make that happen.”
