Collaboration is a beautiful thing, especially when it comes to music. And hearing tracks from artists like Ambrose Plante and Alina Luna is undeniable proof that two heads can be better than one. “Tidal Wave” is their latest collaborative piece and its alluring pop R&B sounds draw you in like the tidal wave in reference, capturing the feeling of being overwhelmed by someone you’ve been longing to meet.

Ambrose and Alina both discovered their passions for music at young ages and while grew up in different parts of the world (Ambrose a native New Yorker and Alina a native Ukrainian), they have since come together to produce some wonderful music. Ambrose brings his unique blend of pop-music, drawing influences from Latin, blues, EDM, and rock, while Alina brings an international perspective thanks to her worldly travels after graduating from the Academy of Arts and Culture in Ukraine. They released one single together last year, titled “Something Real.”

“Tidal Wave” is a soft, pleasant song that showcases the dynamic chemistry that exists between the two through a dreamy soundscape that rests underneath a soothing duet. Alina’s gentle vocals flow above relaxing guitar plucks and a dancing melodic bassline. Ambrose’s deeper vocals balance out the softness, giving the song more character and depth. The artists layer romantic lyrics in a back-and-forth manner through the end of the song, creating a swirling harmony that is beautiful and astounding. The chemistry between Ambrose and Alina is palpable in this captivating track, which is a welcome first single from the duo for this year, but surely not the last.
