A decade later, alt-J is still going as strong as ever. The English indie rock band is celebrating the tenth anniversary of its debut album, An Awesome Wave. In honor of its early success with the album, alt-J has announced more tour dates: The band will return to North America throughout November and December. Concertgoers can expect to hear the debut album in its entirety.

For those who first listened to alt-J by discovering An Awesome Wave, the experience will burst with nostalgia and remind fans what makes alt-J so amazing. Listeners joined the fanbase wave for hit songs “Breezeblocks” and “Fitzpleasure” and stayed for the hit recent releases like 2023’s album The Dream (CARBS Remix Edition).

America, Canada, we just can’t stay away. Back to end the year with a final run of ‘An Awesome Wave’ anniversary shows. Only the best vibes, in some of the best cities on earth.

An Awesome Wave is deserving of the continued praise and performances. The album won the Mercury Prize, which is awarded once a year to the best album released in the United Kingdom, along with the Ivor Novello Awards’ Album of the Year. Fans are still listening in, racking up between more than 28 million and upwards of 150 million plays on each track on Spotify. Across all its releases, alt-J has also earned more than 2.5 billion streams and more than 2 million album sales. The band’s folktronica sound is captivating, gorgeously contributing to an alt-indie rock wave.

alt-J is still on tour in Europe during August and will take a break before kicking off its North American leg in November, with shows ranging from Canada to all across America. Tickets are on sale now.
