While the state of the world remains in flux over returning to a sense of “normalcy,” it is sometimes helpful to be reminded that we can break out of what may seem like an ever-lasting cycle through the things that we already have in our lives – ourselves and our determination to move forward. NJ-born Allie Moss uses an upbeat dream-pop soundscape to drive home the sentiment of how simple it is for us to move with life in a “Forward Motion.”
Allie Moss is an artist, songwriter, sideman, and vocal coach. Her 2011 debut Late Bloomer landed high-profile syncs on popular shows like Pretty Little Liars, Bones, and Parenthood, along with a prominent BT Infinity campaign in the UK. Her songs have continued to receive placement in many TV and film spots throughout the years. Her 2019 single “Already Down” was featured in Charmed, Batwoman, and Netflix‘s Virgin River. She has also been an integral member of Ingrid Michaelson‘s band since 2006 and has toured backing William Fitzsimmons, Joshua Radin, and Rosi Golan.
“Foward Motion” features bright production that immerses listeners in a feeling of constant movement complementing the sentiment expressed within the lyrics. Soothing vocals develop within the pop atmosphere, providing a unique balance to the driving beats and sentimental lyrics. Even as the track builds into a euphoric crescendo, there’s an undeniable tenderness that crafts dreamy energy which underpins the sense of triumph for taking on the unknown of the future.
