ALISON WONDERLAND’S NEW ALBUM, LONER, SET FOR MAY 6 RELEASE ON ASTRALWERKS

What comes to mind when you hear the word “Loner”? For others, this could be a negative connotation, take for example a hermit or being anti-social. Then there’s the other side of the coin, where they see this is one of the qualities of an artist, and an intellectual. But no matter what side of the spectrum we sit on opinion wise, it is undeniable that being a “loner” is something we all get intrigued by. There’s that air of mystery that surrounds that term, quite alluring too to an extent. It’s that quintessential moth drawn to a flame sort of thing.

The same feelings apply to Alison Wonderland’s upcoming album with the same name. Alison’s “Loner” which will come out this May 6th on Astralwerks is just as attractive. With songs such as her newest single “New Day” released March 10th, we are definitely in for a treat with this one. Lyrics intense, beat is sick and with stunning visuals like ones from a Hollywood masterpiece, you can’t help but get excited for the album itself.

If we look at song itself, we could see that this song is filled with optimism. Though that may be the case, this isn’t the bubble gum type of positivity, rather it’s one that draws from real life experience. For a person who’s gone through internal turmoil, we could see Alison rise from the ashes like a Phoenix. Far from perfect, but more than capable to face life again head on armed with that zest for life. This is quite a joy to watch, and a testament that it can only get better. There’s always out of that dark tunnel you’re in. “Cause I’m in love with a new day. With a new day. I’m in love with a new day. With a new day.”.

As for the video itself, it has that old western and that “Kill Bill” type of vibe. Weird combination yes, but it all works to perfection. The best part is it isn’t just random images or scenes being fed. It follows a narrative, and a compelling one at that. For an MV that only lasts for 2:38 minutes, this one packs a punch urm a whallop that will get you reeling even after the video is over.

Circling back to Miss Wonderland’s upcoming album, you can now pre order it here. For those who decide to pre order digitally, they’ll instantly receive the songs “New Day”, “Fear of Dying”, “FUCK U LOVE U” and her 2020 banger “Bad things”. If you are a collector and more of physical album type of person, don’t fret because “Loner” is also available in CD and LP formats. But wait there’s more because there’s a choice to go for purple, orange, and ultra-clear vinyl. Kaboom! Perfection right there.

Hold on to your horses because there’s still more. Yep, you heard that right because there’s a “Loner Tour” coming soon. So how soon is soon though? Here’s a quick rundown:
