Austin-based tech house DJ and producer Alec Michael is truly living his best life behind the deck. While his musical journey started back in his early years, he transitioned to DJing in 2015 and has since been teaching and pushing himself to expand his electronic abilities. Following his opening set on the final day of Seismic Dance Event 4.0, we interviewed him to learn more about his journey. Having attended the entirety of the festival, Alec also shared his favorite sets from the weekend before discussing his personal favorite set from his career, which happened right before COVID-19 caused a massive halt in the industry. And in a very timely manner, he shares some of his favorite things about fall, including the known basic drink of the season and Thanksgiving for the family and food.
