“Black Mamba” marked the official debut in 2020, with aespa becoming a power rookie with a powerful and bold style. The group is the first to come out with avatars, digital renditions called “nævis” that make appearances throughout their music. The following release, “Next Level” was also a viral hit in 2021, making its way through TikTok and social media with a catchy choreography. By the time the mini-albums were released in 2021 and 2022, aespa had compiled more hit tracks like “Illusion” and “Life’s Too Short.”
Taking on more global work, the group announced its participation in the movie Tetris, released in March. Their song “Hold On Tight” was highlighted on the soundtrack, a feature that gave fans a tease into the potential projects aespa might take on.
For now, listeners can check out “Spicy” and the rest of their EP, MY WORLD. The album exudes sweet and sexy, with a list of songs that embrace the summer heat. aespa is also currently on tour and visiting fourteen cities around the world, so make sure to check for tickets!
