Adele Adds Two New Residency Tour Dates for New Year’s Eve Weekend

If you haven’t heard already, Adele has established her first concert residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace titled, Weekends With Adele. While the beginning of the residency was postponed due to COVID within the concert team, Adele was still able to make it happen by rescheduling tour dates and apologizing profusely to fans who planned ahead.

I’m gutted — I’m sorry it’s so last minute, we’ve been awake for over 30 hours trying to figure it out and we’ve run out of time. I’m so upset and I’m really embarrassed and so sorry to everyone that traveled to get [to the show]. I’m really, really sorry.

Despite a rough beginning, Adele started the residency tour at the end of November and will have it end at the end of March – also adding two New Years Eve weekend shows to her residency on Friday, Dec. 30, and Saturday, Dec. 31. What better way to kick off the New Year than with Adele in Las Vegas?

The Colosseum residency is the first time in five years that Adele has performed for US fans, having sold out her first show and telling the crowd, “I’m so nervous and I’m so scared and I’m so happy.” As you could imagine, there’s been an overwhelming amount of buzz around the highly-recognized singer’s performances, with Billboard noting,

“It was remarkable to see a performer at her level be so present and take in all she had accomplished in arriving at this moment.”

Billboard

Other reviews include The Telegraph, LA Times and NY Times – all raving about Adele’s spectacular performances and graceful impact.

“Adele’s intimate, emotional and spectacular postponed Vegas residency, complete with flaming piano, was worth waiting for.” – The Telegraph

“[Weekends With Adele] strikes an exquisite balance of personal storytelling and Las Vegas glitz, with stirring expressions of pure emotion amid just the right amount of stagecraft to remind you where you are. – LA Times

“Adele’s stage is breathtaking, full of drama and elegance befitting her voice: Flanked by two tall panels that formed the shape of an ‘A,’ it contracted for moments of unshowy minimalism, and then instantly exploded with Vegas spectacle.” – NY Times
