A NEW ST.LUCIA REMIX OF THE KNOCKS “SLOW SONG” DRAGONETTE OUT NOW
The Knocks and Dragonette team up to release a striking new disco St.Lucia remix of “Slow Song.” The new hit song was released earlier this year with an official visual that included cameos from Aquaria. This six minute track that is definitely not a “slow song” as it is upbeat song full of movement. Instead of fading out this song does the opposite and slowly fades into the lyrics while the beat starts to pick up. “Slow Song” is a funky electro dance song that lifts up any mood. It feels like the kind of song where you would stick your head out of the car sunroof with your hands up as you drive through the night in a brightly lit city. The more you listen to it, the catchier it becomes.
The music video is so aesthetic with all these cool funky colors fusing together as the fierce drag-queen Aquaria struts down the streets of Mexico City. The Knocks are on a stage performing and the video pans back to Aquaria as the main star. Aquaria sports this sexy leotard, fabulous eye makeup, a blonde wig with blue streaks the she dances in front of The Knocks. A dance routine full of pirouettes, high kicks, some floor work and some flowing arm movements. In a room that is filled with lots of disco balls, tinsel backdrops, the band setup and empty tables as Aquaria freely moves around the dance floor letting the music take over her body.
The scene quickly changes to dark-flashing shots and glimpses of Aquaria no longer alone but a crowd full of people behind her as they all jump around dancing to “Slow Song.” We don’t get the whole standing up in the car roof vibe however, Aquaria dances on top the hood of a car. Again, slaying the pirouettes in heels might I add. Aquaria catwalks down the street some more with a black coat bringing a dark illusion to the video.
A very cool video with a stunning main star exuding great energy throughout the video while a great song to jam out to at any time plays. Highly recommend checking it out!
