A Martin Luther King Jr. “What if” Playlist

There are many artists out right now, and some channel the spirit of the late great MLK, who was a figure for equality and the freedom for Black Americans to live happily and truly in the United States of America. Critical of the country, while also preaching a message of love, this 10-track playlist is a collection of songs from contemporary artists carrying on his legacy. Themes of love, emancipation and more, its uplifting, just as MLK would be in these times.
Keeping this introduction short, I’ll let the lyrics, and music, speak for themselves.

I love the euphoric high of finding a new artist, song, or album that does something different for the world of music. Out of Brooklyn, NY, I listen to a wide range of music, from Rock and Pop, with a special interest in Electronic, Hip-Hop and Rap. I “go down the rabbit hole” and explore new music on Spotify and Soundcloud finding those tracks, artists and albums that are worth talking about. I have a weekly updated themed mixtape meant to be played through, co-host a podcast, and have a weekly album review on Insta : flow.page/maxedocr
