Here are our daily picks for you featuring Teether, Kuya Neil, Iggy Pop and more!

1. “Optimystic” – Ben Kweller

GRAMMY Award-nominated Ben Kweller shares the brutal feelings that come with losing a child in his latest release, “Optimystic.” With rapid-fire drumming, electrifying guitar riffs and passion-infused vocals, the lyrics reflect the reality of losing positivity. “Happiness / Wanna die / Death kiss / Get high,” Kweller sings, amidst animations by Dallas-based musician and tattoo artist Mistery Matter. Looking ahead, “Optimystic” can be streamed on Kweller’s forthcoming album, Cover The Mirrors, out May 30, 2025.

2. “ZOO” – Teether, Kuya Neil

Gritty yet effortlessly fluid, “ZOO” by London/Melbourne duo Teether and Kuya Neil is a fierce new rap anthem. The pair created this song in one day based on the idea that everyone, everywhere is an animal just living their lives in a wild way. This strange, thought-provoking concept is amplified by slinking trap beats and experimental synths. Listen to “ZOO” today and keep your eyes open for Teether and Kuya Neil’s upcoming album, YEARN IV, out May 2, 2025.

3. “Modern Day Ripoff” – Iggy Pop

Iggy Pop is back with “Modern Day Ripoff,” an exhilarating rock hit that cranks the energy to the maximum. The track is composed of groovy keys, relentless drums, brass instrumentals and Pop’s infamous raw vocals. The accompanying video finds the Michigan native performing the piece live during his 2023 appearance at the Montreux Jazz Festival. Listen to the rest of his dynamic performance in his latest release, Iggy Pop Live at Montreux Jazz Festival 2023.

4. “Shall We Begin” – Above & Beyond

Completely switching gears is “Shall We Begin,” a meditative, refreshing new release by Above & Beyond. Amidst calculated ambience drops, rising synths and atmospheric ebbs and flows, listeners can find themselves placed in a calm, relaxing trance. The serene single can be found on Anjunachill 01 (Mixed by Above & Beyond), a collection of songs that are sure to help keep worries at bay.

5. “Careful” – SYML

Closing out today’s selection is “Careful,” a reflective, thought-provoking piece by SYML. Set atop soft piano melodies, the sparse instrumentation allows the Washington-born artist’s resonant vocals to shine. “As I grow, I feel like I have a better perspective on what it is to have a job, be in relationships, and be in my body,” SYML shares. “Luckily, I am surrounded by people who remind me that while these things help to define me, they are not who I am. ‘Careful’ is a reminder to myself.”
