For the past twenty years, the non-profit Global Inheritance has been reshaping activist practices by harnessing the power of imagination to cultivate creative takes on meaningful change. Throughout the festival grounds, Global Inheritance’s initiatives were on full display, offering festival-goers unique opportunities to engage with pressing issues facing our planet.
One standout feature was the POSTed Studio, where festival attendees could channel their creativity into concept art for posters advocating solutions to environmental challenges. These rough concepts were then refined by professional artists, amplifying the individual’s voice and allowing their message to reach a global audience.
The TRASHed – Art of Recycling exhibit showcased talented artists’ ability to transform ordinary recycling bins into inspiring works of art, emphasizing the importance of recycling. The Energy Playground was a hub of activity, providing attendees with the opportunity to charge their phones through human-powered seesaws while serving as an educational platform to learn about energy conservation.
