Fellow Chicagoans Jamila Woods and DRAMA Link Up to Produce a New Remix of Woods’ “Boundaries”

Jamila Woods is back with a DRAMA remix of her recent song, “Boundaries.” Though the song was already a hit, DRAMA’s remix provides a new opportunity for the song to thrive in other atmospheres like rave scene, festivals, or house parties. With a different perspective on the baseline instrumentals and echoing lyrics, “Boundaries” (DRAMA remix) seamlessly brings its audience to a new world of positive vibes and dancing harmonies.

Jamilia comments on how the remix came to fruition, stating:

“When I was thinking about who I wanted to re-imagine the Boundaries track, I immediately thought about Na’el Shehade. I’ve been a huge fan of DRAMA for many years but was only recently able to see them live for the first time at the Metro in Chicago, where I absolutely danced my ass off. I love the way his remix transforms the journey of the song and really makes you wanna move.”

DRAMA continues this sentiment with:

“When Jamila came to us about remixing Boundaries, we were really excited – it’s always a pleasure to work with a fellow Chicagoan! We wanted to keep the global feeling from the original song in the remix. We loved the message of the record and wanted to keep as much of the story intact, while transforming it into an upbeat dance track.”

DRAMA stating that the “Boundaries” remix is “an upbeat dance track” is a humble understatement, as it doesn’t give adequate or just recognition to the hype energy they bring! This Chicagoan collaboration is one for the books, one we hope we’ll see more of in the future, as the artists both harbor immense talent and liveliness throughout their work.
