Known for their work in film and television as creators of dark, electronica-based soundscapes, Steep Steps are growing more and more in recognition and esteem with each new song — a pattern that is sure to continue with their latest release in collaboration with sitarist / vocalist Ami Dang, “Stories on a Page.” With a mix of elements that work effortlessly together — including flawless sitar, foreboding cello and Dang’s haunting female vocals — “Stories on a Page” sounds like the perfect mix of a lullaby set in a fantastical netherworld.
