Martin Jensen On the Making of “Running”
A follow-up to his hit single “Solo Dance,” Producer and DJ Martin Jensen is back this year debuting his newest banger, “Running.” With Danish Singer Theresa Rex on board after being featured on “Solo Dance” and electronic trio Cheat Codes also joining suit, the hype around this track is real. Priming much-needed vibes on the dance floor, we, the listener, are clearly in for a good time.
It was so special working with Martin and the whole team again. It has been a moment since ‘Solo Dance’ came out, but I think that ‘Running’ is the perfect follow up and adding Cheat Codes to the mix has made it pure magic.
Theresa Rex’s impressions on “Running”
From the get-go, warm keyboard tones mesh wonderfully with Theresa Rex’s voice, preparing us for the chorus. Soaked in reverb, lyrics sung such as “Baby, I’ll keep runnin’, I know you’re waitin’, I know you’re waitin’ for me” hit sweetly into your ears.
Auto-tuned verses deserve praise when you hear them combined with the club beat. Little hiccups of variation such as the piano solo at the post-chorus and musical breakdown at the ending where also a present surprise to hear. Nonetheless, the track remains constant throughout, adding to the single’s danceability.
We are excited to kick off 2022 with ‘Running’ alongside our friends Martin and Theresa – we wanted to bring as much positivity and vibrance into the production and accomplish something anthemic! We hope everyone had a Happy New Year and are ready to hit the ground RUNNING in 2022
Cheat Codes on “Running”
Officially out now, “Running” is incredibly addictive and memorable, making the song a joy with every listen.
