LA-based artist/vocalist/producer ayokay has released “All Mine,” a track of soft vibration that is endlessly mesmerizing. Ayokay has showcased his talents by producing tracks for the likes of Carly Rae Jepsen and Grouplove, but “All Mine” is just another example of the artist’s ability to create soft, transporting tracks that are all his own. This is a follow up to the single “I Still Need You,” which was released in September and has already amassed over 1 million streams.
There is an airy, floating energy to this new track as it allows one to peacefully fall into the rhythm, melting them into a state of mellow vibration. There is a creation of soft ambiance as the Detroit-native, otherwise known as Alex O’Neill, vulnerably asks the repeated question “Hey hey, would you be all mine?” It sparkles with raw intimacy as the pulsating beats maintain a sense of energy and movement. With the track, O’Neill says,
“I wrote “All Mine” this summer with the intention of creating a laid back track about spending a long night with someone you care about…”
The track is paired with a visualizer directed by Jonah Goerge. It follows ayokay as he endlessly cruises down the roads on his motorbike. In a full-length, white jumpsuit, there is an added sense of freeing innocence as he simply goes where the road takes him. Just as “All Mine” transports the listener to a dimension of imaginative romance.
Ayokay emerged in 2016 with the now certified-gold track “King of Summer,” featuring childhood friend, Quinn XCII. Since then, the artist has garnered over 350 million streams across his discography, gaining commercial and critical praise. Having spent much of 2020 producing for other notable artists, ayokay has solidified himself in the electro-pop world. Now he is working on his own album which can be expected early next year.
