Evan Giia Announces Tour With Louis The Child, Releases “Mood Swings”

Mood Swings,” the new single from Evan Giia, touches upon the pain of living in a way that allows the listener to sit back and follow her emotional journey. The production is laid back, but the lyrics are not. Giia touches on what it’s like to live and feel every moment, and though the production stays laid-back and easy, Giia proceeds to take the listener from “high to low to low to low.”

Mood Swings” is Giia’s follow-up single to “Stay Up,” her ode to her hometown of Brooklyn, New York. While there are similarities in the production of these two songs, the lyrical themes are completely different. On “Stay Up,” Giia sings about how returning home will keep her feeling uplifted. On “Mood Swings,Giia sings about how she’s falling low and needs to figure out her emotions. This juxtaposition of sound to lyric is something that has been time and time again, and now Giia has added her take on it to the world.

Speaking of the world: not only has Evan Giia released “Mood Swings,” but she has also announced that she will be supporting Louis The Child on their North American tour this summer! Starting in Austin, Texas, on July 28th, the tour will take her through the southeastern United States as well as some of the Pacific Northwest. In addition to the dates with Louis The Child, Evan Giia will be playing at Life Is Beautiful in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Breakaway Music Festival in North Carolina. Obsessed with all things music. Finished that MFA, so now I’m apparently a master of this. Bouncing around state borders, going wherever. If you see me at a show, say hey!
