The Queen of Pop, Madonna, has unveiled Bedtime Stories – The Untold Chapter, an eight-track companion EP celebrating the 30th anniversary of her landmark 1994 album Bedtime Stories. This release dives deep into the creative DNA of one of her most sonically daring eras, and presents early demos, alternate mixes, and rare cuts that trace the evolution of the original album’s smooth, R&B-driven sound.
More Bedtime Stories to Tell
Madonna rose to fame in the early 1980s with a run of era-defining pop singles that helped earn her the reputation as the “Queen of Pop,” beautifully blending dance, fashion, and artistic visions in ways that reshaped MTV-era pop culture. Across her career she has released a long list of beloved signature tracks, including “Like a Virgin,” “Material Girl,” “Like a Prayer,” “Vogue,” and “Ray of Light,” songs that not only dominated charts but also became cultural touchstones for their videos, aesthetics, and reinventions of Madonna’s persona.
By the mid‑1990s she pivoted into a more R&B‑inflected sound on Bedtime Stories, which produced several notable singles, including the standout hit “Take a Bow,” a lush Babyface-produced ballad that became her longest-running number one in the United States. The new collection is available today on limited-edition black vinyl and all digital streaming platforms. Fans would also receive an exclusive set of commemorative postcards along with the EP.
The Untold Chapter

To shape The Untold Chapter, Madonna reunited with Stuart Price, the celebrated producer behind Confessions on a Dance Floor. Together, the pair curated and mixed the archival material into a cohesive retrospective experience. The EP’s artwork features never-before-seen photographs from Madonna in the 1994 Paolo Roversi shoot, as well as outtakes from the Bedtime Story single sessions, lending the project a distinct visual continuity with the original era.

Alongside the EP, the original Bedtime Stories album has been reissued on silver vinyl. Orders would also include a collectible poster of Madonna, further commemorating the revival of this defining release.
Revisiting and Reimagining Bedtime Stories
First released in 1994, Bedtime Stories remains one of Madonna’s most celebrated creative pivots. Blending R&B, trip-hop, tied together with Madonna’s unmistakable charm, the original album produced global hits like “Secret,” “Take a Bow,” and “Human Nature,” and went on to sell more than seven million copies worldwide.
The Untold Chapter tracklist offers a glimpse into the album’s making process, including alternative takes and reimagined mixes such as “Survival (Quiet Storm Demo Remix)”, “Secret (Allstar New Single Mix)”, and “Human Nature (Howie Tee New Clean Edit)”.
This latest release also follows Madonna’s Confessions on a Dance Floor (Twenty Years Edition) earlier from November of 2025, which revisited her 2005 dance opus with 20 remastered tracks, including B-sides and rare promotional mixes.
With Bedtime Stories – The Untold Chapter, Madonna revisits one of her most transformative musical eras, reaffirming her enduring legacy as an artist whose reinventions continue to inspire 30 years on.
