A performance review of Paleface Swiss’s spring tour

Switzerland’s hardcore outfit, Paleface Swiss released their latest album, CURSED, early this year. They swiftly took to the road to celebrate.

Known for their incomparable live performances and fearless approach to intense and vulnerable topics, the band has built a reputation as one of the most vital, unfiltered and rapidly rising forces in the world of modern metal today. With a brand new album, an ever-growing army of devoted fans, critical acclaim, sold-out headline shows and stellar festival performances garnering new fans wherever they go, Paleface Swiss have their sights firmly set total, global domination.

We had a chance to catch the band on their headlining date in Sacramento’s Goldfield Roseville early this week. Nasty and Stick To Your Guns showcased incredible sets as special guests. Paleface Swiss commented on how essential each band was in their project’s growth:

Without Nasty and Stick to Your Guns, both of which who supported us since the beginning, we would not be standing here today.

There’s something really special about what Paleface Swiss’s live presence has to offer. It’s a tangibility of excitement, just as much as it is the thickness in the air of a sold-out crowd. And there the fans were on Sunday night, packed in shoulder to shoulder to witness it for themselves.

See the photos from the evening below:

From the moment they stepped on stage, it was clear this wasn’t going to be a regular set. Playing heavily from their new album, the band crafted an experience that felt intimate and special—despite the chaos in the pit. Not a single person in the crowd stood still. Between the wave of crowd surfers and the collective scream-singing of lyrics, the connection was electric.

“There’s so much to smile about. Seeing your faces all here going f***ing crazy. It’s been awesome,” the frontman grinned between songs, visibly moved. The band continued their sentiment and reflected on their journey: “We were here two years ago on our first ever west coast tour.” The crowd cheered, and it ensured that their growth since their last time in town was palpable.

But the performance wasn’t all high-octane chaos. One of the most powerful moments of the evening happened during “River of Sorrows,” one of their slower, emotionally charged tracks. The clean vocals were striking—haunting even—and the crowd responded in kind, phones lit and swaying, singing softly along.

“No matter where you are in life, you’re not alone,” the vocalist reminded the crowd. “Please take care of each other with love, peace, and kindness. We really need it in this messed up world.” A rare quiet fell, and for a few minutes, everything felt still.

Stay tuned for updates on Paleface Swiss! Tickets for the remaining dates of their tour are available here.
