Since our Zoom Interview series began on YouTube during peak quarantine season, we have had the opportunity to highlight some of our favorite up and coming musicians throughout the entirety of this year. Here are some of the highlights of interviews we’ve conducted, right where we left off in the spring.

LA-based rising punk pop star, Royal & The Serpent, is known best as the “I get overwhelmed” girl after her Atlantic Records debut single, “overwhelmed” exploded on social media world wide. With over 100 million streams on Spotify alone, the single kick-started her professional musical career in ways she always hoped. There’s a gritty and broken, but childlike innocence in the sound of Royal’s voice. It blends into one of the two persona’s she claims her own- a “sweet sunshine angel” and a “freaky devil maniac” (the Serpent). Combined, these two aspects of her persona make for a beautiful allure of sound and shape. We chatted with her about her latest EP, searching for nirvana, and her journey through finding safety in mental health and self-discovery.

Madison Perrott made her exclusive premiere into the music world with us here at Glasse Factory. Her debut single, “The Fixer,” blends in her inspirations of Fleetwood Mac and shares a raw and personal look into her life as an empath and journey through discovery of self care. We chatted with her about just that, and urge you to keep your eye on what she has to offer next.

We chatted with Ian and Luke from Canadian two-piece hard rock band, cleopatrick, about their debut album, BUMMER, and their excitement about performing on tour since their rise in the industry this year. After we had the pleasure of seeing them perform at The Aftershock Festival on October 8th, we can sure say that hearing their performance live is truly worth the effort and experience.

Having just released her debut full-length album, Maisie Peters shared with us in a short and sweet interview some of the details behind You Signed Up For This, and her ideal “feral girl summer.” She is rising in fame since her signing with Ed Sheeran’s label, Gingerbread Man Records, and is set to go on her first world tour in the coming months.

Vice President of Blue Swan Records, multi-instrumentalist, and lead guitarist of Eidola, Sergio Medina chatted with us about the band’s single, “Counterfeit Shrines,” a little about the writing process behind their latest album, and life during quarantine. Not only is he an instrumental part of Eidola, but he is involved with multiple projects such as Royal Coda, where he plays the bass, and Nova Charisma, the latest project which he joined in 2019.

Chrissy Costanza of Against the Current joined us to chat about the band’s heaviest release to date, a seven song EP titled fever. The group has also built a massive social media audience, racking up more than two million YouTube subscribers and nearly 400 million views.

The frontwoman is a major online presence all her own with over one million Instagram followers and 1.6 million Facebook likes. Their latest release showed favor in the eyes of fans as they shared their excitement for the band’s new sound. The three-piece band offered visuals with the album bathed in neon light and fire throughout the album, creating beautiful hues of blues and reds that contrast upon one another in shadow.

Des Rocs caught up with us a bit before breaking down some of the writing processes behind each track in his debut full-length album, A Real Good Person in a Real Bad Place. The interview was a special moment for us to reflect on our growth and to talk about music’s impact throughout the pandemic. Admittedly, throughout the interview, Danny claimed to enjoy his time in isolation, where he could live out his days further honing his craft and develop the album to its fullest potential.

We have been incredibly honored to talk with these talented musicians, and much more, over the last six months. Stay tuned on our YouTube channel for more interviews to come.
