XATIVA Releases Haunting Track, “Fall Back To You”

XATIVA is a Swedish-Ecuadorian singer-songwriter based in London. She is a classically trained vocalist who fuses together traditional and contemporary, Latin and acoustic influences alongside elements from jazz and alternative R&B. A former choral scholar, she plays classical piano as well as Spanish guitar, having spent time living in Madrid, studying and playing with traditional flamenco musicians.

As the second release of 2022, “Fall Back To You” sequels “You’re A Mistake.” Continuing along a trail of whispers, poetry, and acoustic guitar, all fashioned in honor of heritage and uniquely her own sound, XATIVA’s soul is evoked throughout the vocals that truly take center stage in the midst of the acoustics, harmonizing along with her melody using sounds of their own. Continuing along a similar pace from her previous release, “Fall Back to You,” enters another dimension, too. Her vocals haunt the soundscape as the pace continues to build pressure and anxiety as the song progresses, recreating a sense of uncertainty in a situation that is fairly up to interpretation of the listener. We do know, though, is that whoever the subject of the track is speaking of is a captivating one, one that will pull and entice the subject back into its snare if they trip or fall.

The listening experience all in all is a haunting one. We will be keeping up with future releases from XATIVA. Stay tuned, and listen to the new single now!
