The dynamic indie-pop duo, Lily & Madeleine, returns with an exciting announcement following the release of their newest single. They have unveiled the title of their highly anticipated 5th studio album, Nite Swim, scheduled for release in October this year. Treating fans with a taste of what’s to come, they dropped the enchanting track “Windowless Bedroom,” which offers a glimpse into the upcoming album. To add to the excitement, visuals accompanying the song have also been revealed.

Despite their whirlwind career start, including a captivating NPR Tiny Desk performance and over 220k Spotify listeners, Lily & Madeleine show no signs of slowing down. Their yearning voices possess the remarkable ability to transport listeners to an ethereal realm, a quality cherished by artists who convey deep emotions through their music and lyrics.

“‘Windowless Bedroom’ romanticizes and finds humor in the uncertainties and inevitable disappointments of life. The metaphor of a drab, lonely bedroom without windows becomes a canvas for one’s imagination to create a more ideal reality.”

The song commences with a delicate piano, gracefully making its way into the opening. Lily & Madeleine’s voices blend harmoniously, evoking a translucent echo of the lyrics. As the track progresses, light drums are introduced, elevating it into a fully-fledged composition that captivates like a butterfly taking flight. The vocals seamlessly float through the chorus, establishing “Windowless Bedroom” as an angsty classic.

The music video, directed by Austin Webster, brings the girls’ fantasy world to life on screen. With its hazy and nostalgic atmosphere, it invites viewers to step into their own personal space. Watch the mesmerizing music video below.

With more releases on the horizon, the anticipation for Lily & Madeleine’s future endeavors grows.
