WE JUST CAN’T GET JOE P & GAYLE’S INTIMATE PERFORMANCE “OFF [OUR] MIND”

Rising East Coast alt-pop sensation joe p has joined forces with the “abcdefu” pop singer-songwriter GAYLE for an official live performance of “Off My Mind,” filmed earlier this year backstage at New York City’s legendary Mercury Lounge.

Raw, authentic, and serene. There are no better words to capture the essence of the duo’s magical performance in the rustic basement setting. The harsh background contrasts the soft and almost lullaby-like airiness that the melodic resonance that their voices carry.

Off My Mind” is the hymn for all us overthinkers and melancholic besties, giving us a little reminder that things will get better and it’s okay to feel like “My mind is wearing out my head”. Relatable and sensible lyrics are exactly what joe P is known for. Much like many of us, the young artist went on a journey of self-discovery during the dark ages of the pandemic and emerged as a self-made man and TikTok sensation. By posting raw, acoustic videos of his songs from his NJ basement studio he developed a characteristic style of his own and found a group of like-minded artists such as GAYLE, Middle Kids, and Joywave.

Joe P will resume his epic scheduled love performances of his debut album Emily Can’t Sing, with a North American tour supporting Spacey Jane, set to start mid-October at Toronto, ON’s Mod Club Theatre, and then traveling into early November. Highlights include an eagerly awaited two-night stand at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom (October 12-13). Keep your eyes open because additional dates will be announced, so don’t miss out!
