Twitch is ready to party! The platform is celebrating its new DJ category with a global, 24-hour streaming event on Thursday, August 8th. The event kicks off with a headlining DJ set by none other than Zedd. Zedd will debut tracks from his first album in nearly a decade, Telos. Fans have been eagerly awaiting new music from the artist, and this event promises to deliver some exciting new sounds.
Not only is Zedd coming out to celebrate with Twitch, but so are so many other artists. The virtual event has a star-studded lineup including ZHU, Sofi Tukker, Aluna, Cheat Codes, and more.
Check below for the lineup:

Back in June, Twitch announced the new DJ program, and it’s a turning point for the platform. DJs and the platform have had a rocky relationship due to takedowns, bans, and muted content. But now, with this big change, Twitch has secured licensing deals with UMG, Warner, Sony, and many other music rightsholders. The program will allow DJs to use copyrighted songs legally and collect royalties.
The DJ category and the Twitch DJ Program will open so many doors for users to be creative and make engaging content. Not only that, but it also shows Twitch’s commitment to supporting its growing DJ community and providing a space where music can thrive.
So get ready because Twitch is turning up the volume and bringing the beats! Tune in on August 8th and join the global dance party.
