Dance the weekend away with this week’s selection of new releases, full of vibrant confidence and finesse. This is New Music Friday Dance.

1. Swedish House Mafia, Alicia Keys: “Finally”

House & techno giants Swedish House Mafia come back with iconic vocalist Alicia Keys for “Finally.” The track is bright and melodic, with a trance-like quality from choppy, looping synths. The yearning lyrics and uplifting instrumental together create a nostalgic feel.

2. Eli Brown: “Crawling”

The great Eli Brown is back with “Crawling,” a track that emphasizes the feeling of freedom. The vocalist sings, “I can feel it, I’m believing in me now” over a pulsating, dark tech-house beat. It is impossible to not get lost in the fast-paced rhythm.

3. Wax Motif, Truth x Lies, AK Renny: “212”

Wax Motif, Truth x Lies, and AK Renny bring “212,” a steady club track with a hard-hitting bassline. The vocal line is catchy and full of attitude, half sung and half spoken to the beat. At only 2 minutes and 18 seconds, it is easy to press replay.

4. Zedd, Jeff Buckley: “Dream Brother”

DJ giant Zedd remixes “Dream Brother” by Jeff Buckley into a hauntingly beautiful progressive house anthem. The track expertly blends introspective lyrics with an atmospheric, danceable soundscape. A little fresh, a little throwback.

5. Carola, AKOSIA: “Run The Night”

Carola and AKOSIA release “Run The Night,” an exciting disco-fusion track. Hitting play on this track feels like a flavorful burst of funky colors, invoking a young and free vibe. AKOSIA’s voice is mellow and smooth, adding a slight sensuality.
