TOVE LO’S NEW MUSIC VIDEO IS “2 DIE 4”
Pumpkin spice lattes might be back at your fav coffee shop but we are not ready to say bye to the hot girl summer just yet. Our girl Tove Lo is here to serve the heat with her fire new music video to her pop anthem “2 Die 4”. The irresistible and undeniable club banger is giving us a taste of her upcoming fifth studio album DIRT FEMME. Let me tell you this album is going to be WILD in the best way ever. The Sweden-born and Los Angeles-based singer is on a mission to “single-handedly reviving Eurodance” according to NYLON magazine.
There is no better way to celebrate a new musical era than with the most stunning femme-powered visualizer for “2 Die 4”. The music video is directed by none other than the talented Anna-Lisa Himma. The result is nothing short of a cinematic masterpiece: It is sleek, modern, sensual, and has just a touch of retro pop diva flair.

The video is simply put a huge VIBE. There is no other way to put it, everything about it is screaming strong females on a summer high. The video begins with Tove Lo seductively posing in a photo studio styled in a look á la Kim Kardashian. What follows next is a meticulously choreographed dance session at the pool. The wet t-shirt fits combined with the ecstatic beats is turning up the heat! Is it just me or did it get hotter in here?
The song sees a debut for Tove because it’s her first time ever incorporating a sample, in this case iconic “Popcorn” hook, originally released by Hot Butter in 1972. Speaking about the song, she explains:
“With “2 Die 4” I wanted ‘instantly iconic’ energy. I’ve never sampled anything before, and this feels like the perfect first moment. Lyrically I wanted it to be that ‘pick me up when I’m feeling down’ song. At first, it’s like a warm hug, then you shake it off, let out a scream and start dancing!”
