On November 5th, Canadian producer duo Bob Moses released their latest single, “Time And Time Again.” The Grammy-winning duo, “newly signed to Astralwerks in a unique global partnership with Domino Recording Co.,” has released “Time And Time Again” as a teaser for their new album (which, as of now, has not been announced) as well as their 2022 North American tour! Check out their website for tickets to those upcoming shows, and read on for our review of “Time And Time Again.”

On the whole, “Time And Time Again” is a phenomenal track. Bob Moses has said the song is “a celebration of the return of dancing with friends after almost two years spent inside,” and that absolutely comes through in the sound. Using some basic elements of house music, Bob Moses introduce more trance elements throughout the track, and the use of electronic keyboards in the verses as well as the arpeggiator throughout the song and synth-bass in the chorus keep the dance vibes going.

Though the dance vibes are going throughout, there is a tinge of sadness to the track. That’s because Bob Moses has said “it’s also a special song for us personally because it was inspired by a close friend who we lost too soon.” This sense of impending loss is present, but it doesn’t detract from the dance elements. It actually enhances that feeling of needing to have the release of dancing in a crowded room because it could all crash down at any moment. This layer adds so much more to the song, and it’s important that we acknowledge it.

Check out the visualizer for the track below, and let us know what you think! Bob Moses has put out something wonderful, and they deserve their flowers for it.

Obsessed with all things music. Finished that MFA, so now I’m apparently a master of this. Bouncing around state borders, going wherever. If you see me at a show, say hey!
