The Stages of ARC Music Festival

American Football fans have the Super Bowl, house and techno listeners have Arc Music Festival. The tagline “House Music Comes Home” is not just for stellar marketing. This is the festival that artists and fans alike come together and enjoy three days of some of the best the dance music scene has to offer. In our previous article we covered plenty of the announced artists, so for this article we’d like to dive into the stage by stage breakdown!

Starting things off with The Grid.

The Grid is what many consider to be the “main stage” of ARC. It is the largest stage, has incredible production, and always features some of the hottest names in the scene so it makes sense that people come to that conclusion. This year The Grid will be helmed by the likes of Charlotte De Witte, Mau P, Honey Dijon, and Disclosure. By looking at those names alone one can tell that the artists performing on this stage will vary sound wise. Each selector that is featured on The Grid is known for a specific sound by their fans.

The party is always on inside Elrow.

The Elrow tent returns to ARC again this year to bring the best party in the city. If one has attended any Elrow event, there is not much convincing needed check out this stage. But if not, we’ve got you covered. Elrow is known internationally for their exotic dance music parties. At this stage you’ll hear plenty of tech house, and adjacent dance music genres. Personally we are most looking forward to Purple Disco Machine, Tini Gessler, and MK who joins late as a replacement for IDRIS. It is well worth stopping by this stage long enough for at least one confetti pop, but fair warning one may not want to leave after.

Up next, a personal favorite, Expansions.

Expansions is one of our favorite stages amongst all the others we have attended. By using nature as the main visual, festival goers gather underneath the trees and dance the nights away to some of the best house and techno. A few names we are most excited for are Daria Kolosova, Azzecca, Sara Landry, and of course the legendary b2b of Carl Cox and Green Velvet. At this moment there’s no precipitation in the forecast, but this is one of the best stages to be at during the occasional festival drizzle.

Area 909 brings us home in the best way, through the underground.

The heart of the underground lives within Area 909. While not every artist here falls perfectly into the “techno” title, this where you will find some of its finest selectors. Klangkeunstler, Salute, and Nico Moreno (plus so many more great names) are set to bring incredible vibes at one of ARC’s coolest stages. Set up to give off underground after party vibes, Area 909 is a call back to the old school rave appeal. A stage, a few giant speakers, and as many ravers as you can pack around the booth and on the dance floor.

We are just now a little over one week out from ARC Music Festival and they have just released final tickets here. Be sure to lock in those passes before they’re gone.

Hi! My name is Josh and I have been attending concerts and festivals of all kinds for over a decade. While I can appreciate all music in some capacity, my true passion lies within various subgenres of metal, edm, and kpop. Late fall of 2022 I decided I wanted to be better about documenting some of those experiences. So what better way than to pick up a camera and start capturing some content to share with the world? The journey has been fun thus far, and I can't wait to see what things I will have to share for you as it continues. I hope we cross paths at a show soon!
