The Pink Ladies Are Here! Capitol Records Release Official Soundtrack
As the first season of Grease: Rise of Pink Ladies comes to a close, Capitol Records has released the official soundtrack for the stellar show. The album includes thirty-one original songs, including a reimagined version of the iconic ‘Grease’ titled ‘Grease is the Word.’ The soundtrack was produced by executive music producer and GRAMMY® Award-nominated songwriter Justin Tranter.
While 28 songs have been released since the show’s premiere on April 6, the new soundtrack will feature the highly anticipated season finale anthem ‘Think Pink.’ The official infectious and upbeat song also has an official music video that was released on the official Paramount Plus YouTube channel.
Throughout the series, numerous tracks have resonated deeply with fans. Songs like “Crushing Me,” a heartfelt rendition by Tricia Fukuhara and Ari Notartomaso, perfectly capture the exhilarating feeling of a new crush. Another standout track, “I Want More,” showcases the powerful vocal runs of Marisa Davila, delivering a punchy ballad that leaves listeners yearning for more.
Capitol Music Store offers a limited-edition yearbook-style PINK vinyl edition of the soundtrack, hand-signed by the Pink Ladies themselves – Marisa Davila, Cheyenne Isabel Wells, Ari Notartomaso, and Tricia Fukuhara. Their rebellious spirit and determination to have fun on their own terms ignite a moral panic that forever alters the history of Rydell High.
Set four years before the events of the original “Grease,” the series introduces viewers to Jane (Marisa Davila), Olivia (Cheyenne Isabel Wells), Cynthia (Ari Notartomaso), Nancy (Tricia Fukuhara), and other Pink Ladies as they navigate a changing world in 1954.
