The Comfort’s ‘The Portal Feat. Dylan Davidson Of Deadlights’ Is A Call To Action For This Generation

Portals are regarded as more than just your standard “door” with knobs and keys. They may look similar in presentation; a portal has that mystical element to it. Whether a product of the imagination or located in an isolated place, it has that sense of wander that’s captivating. The world it opens isn’t just limited to a room leading to another. It acts as a passageway to an entirely new dimension or better yet an alternate reality unbeknownst to man (Doctor Strange anyone?).

Much like the MCU’s strange physician, the Australian rock band The Comfort and their latest song entitled “The Portal (Feat. Dylan Davidson Of Deadlights)” offers us a chance to transform our surroundings through the power of our thoughts. While there are no special talismans and artifacts needed, the track itself is equally powerful. Providing that much needed escapist’s oasis for anyone who’s felt burnt out with the world and the systems put in place.

Released last November 3rd in streaming platforms everywhere as part of their album “Experience Everything. Live And Die.”. “The Portal (Feat. Dylan Davidson Of Deadlights)” is a hard-hitting song with a purpose. It’s a call to use all the resources available to us, and make a difference in the communities we live in. But in order to do that, we must first step into the portal and make a commitment that no matter what we will always side with the good. As the song would say “We’ll change the world from inside out.”. Fighting words that need to be heard by everyone in this generation, especially by a society that’s been too preoccupied by the gadgets and clout that comes with them.

Possessing gritty vocals coupled with a booming rhythm and beat, The Comfort’s “The Portal (Feat. Dylan Davidson Of Deadlights)” is a wake up call to those who are socially asleep. It’s a one- two punch of great music and being aware of the planet we live in Definitely a track that should be added to everyone’s playlist to remind us of our real purpose as to why we’re breathing in the first place.
