Brighton based pop artist Matt Taylor finds beauty in madness through his new EP “The Breath Within Your Chest.” His past singles (Budapest, Hard To Leave and PFC) have be dubbed by the likes of EARMILK as a “true standout pop song,” Matt strives to see relationship struggles from the opposing perspective in his most popular single, “Hard To Leave.”
Trying to escape his mind, Matt opens through his new single in the midst of an argument with a former lover. A frantic back and forth of uncertainty in the relationship but not wanting to give up serves as the basis of the heartfelt, but energetic single.
Originally a singer-songwriter, Matt Taylor found his sound evolve into a new realm in 2019 when he released his first official single, “Cut You Off.” Drawing inspiration from Julia Michaels, Tove Styrke and Max Martin, Matt creates music that expresses sympathetic topics with unapologetically honest lyrics. Which brings us to his latest release, The Breath Within Your Chest. We haven’t been able to stop listening to it since it found it’s way to our desks. Give it a listen for yourself now!
