Team Up of the Century: David Guetta & Marten Høger Release Newest Single “The Freaks”
Teaming up together, musical trailblazer, David Guetta, and Marten Høger, one of the leading forces of the global Bass House released their newest single “The Freaks,” on Feb. 17 via What A DJ.
Guetta and Høger started working on “The Freaks,” in early September of 2022, after Høger shared the first demo of the track at the musical festival, Burning Man. As the months went on, the duo tweaked the track, sending it back and forth, sharing notes and ideas until they created a hit.
During those months the duo created a future dance and electronic hit with low pitched and distorted vocals and a booming beat. Guetta and Høger meticulously worked together on “The Freaks” and as a result created the perfect hit for raves to come.
“The Freaks” is an addition to a string of hits from Guetta, following hits such as “In Ours” by ARTBAT and Idris Elba, “Unholy” by Sam Smith and Kim Petras, and “Bad Memories” by Meduza. Alongside Høger, Guetta has worked on his underground-focused project Future Rave in recent months and has impacted the club scene drastically.
