Taylor Kade and Dani King Team Up for Explosive “Rock Bottom,” Released on Lost In Dreams
Southern California native Taylor Kade teams up with Los Angeles-based Dani King for an unforgettably emotive future bass single. “Rock Bottom” was released on Insomniac’s record label, Lost In Dreams, which was launched in 2021 and is dedicated to future bass, melodic dubstep, and electronic pop music. The single combines Taylor’s energetic sound and distinct vibe with Dani’s powerful vocal tones for an experience that dances between the lines of electronic and rock.
Taylor Kade has quickly risen in the ranks to become one of the hottest new artists to watch in the EDM scene. Crafted over many years through unique musical influences, his attention to production detail and exceptional musical taste have landed his larger-than-life personality into his own headlining radio gig as host of Insomniac Radio’s daily show, “Happy Hour with Taylor Kade.” He has garnered early support from industry heavyweights, including The Chainsmokers, ILLENIUM, SLANDER, NGHTMRE, Party FAvor, and many more. Beyond “Rock Bottom,” he will continue to release original and collaborative works throughout the remainder of 2022.
Dani King originally grew up in Chicago and began her musical journey at the age of 12, taking vocal lessons and singing at local bars and eateries throughout high school. After graduating, she moved on to study commercial voice with a minor in music business at Belmont University in Nashville. She then moved cross-country to Los Angeles to pursue her career in music, quickly falling in love with electronic music through being inspired by other female vocalists who have been featured on popular bass tracks. Her hard work and dedication have led to numerous amazing opportunities, such as live festival performances at Electric Zoo and Lost Lands. She has worked with multiple up-and-coming producers like Omas, Highldn, Jago, and of course Taylor Kade.
“Rock Bottom” captures the tumultuous feelings of a hot-and-cold relationship, one where you feel like you can’t rely on the other person because they might be here one day, and gone the next. Taylor layers electrifying guitar above heavy basslines to create the gritty environment in which Dani belts out her vibrant vocals. The builds and fills in the beat give you the feeling that you’re along for the ride in this rocky relationship, with the bottoming out of it matching up with Dani’s interjected hook. It’s difficult to fit this single into a specific genre box, much like it is difficult to contain the explosive energy that is witnessed throughout, but its unique sound is what makes it so exciting.
