SWAP OUT THE HOLIDAY CLASSICS FOR DEAD MELLOW’S LO-FI TUNES

The holidays are almost here and things are getting more stressful by the day. But don’t worry we discovered the perfect upcoming sensation for all you lo-fi lovers out there. “Fake Tails” by Dead Mellow is the ideal mellow tune to vibe through while disassociating from all the chaos around you. Have a listen!

The lo-fi bop is the debut single of the Sydney-based duo Dead Mellow and has a super interesting origin story: Apparently, the track was born out of Stockholm syndrome as two musicians spent lockdown in a small apartment together. The song is about trying to use creativity as meditation in a chaotic world of isolation and not getting pulled into others’ expectations and needs. Now that is exactly the type of tune we need to carry us through this merry season and it’s a great alternative to the Mariah Carey anthem that’s been playing everywhere lately. Thank you but I’ll prefer my lo-fi over that any day.
