Get ready to give up your attention to Amira Elfeky’s awaited new EP, Surrender. The six tracks are few, but the sound and quality are undeniably mighty.

Amira Elfeky is a nu-metal sorceress, and her spell is steadily reaching more ears. Popping out in 2023, she garnered attention with her breakout single, “Tonight (demo)”. The song currently sits at an impressive 23.7 million Spotify streams. Her signature fusion of shoegaze, alternative, and nu-metal creates new and unique listening experiences that easily draws listeners in. Of course, this EP is no exception.

About the EP, Elfeky said,

Surrender is not about defeat, it is about release. It is the moment when resistance fades, not from weakness, but from the quiet strength of trust. This EP is an exploration of the space between holding on and letting go, where memories linger and emotions bleed. Each song is a fragment of connection, of laughter, silence, and the weightless vulnerability of being truly seen. Surrender is not about loss, but about the beauty of relinquishing control, of dissolving into something greater than yourself, and of embracing the breathless uncertainty of love.

The nu-metal sorceress is out to put an enchantment on fans and it’s working. The EP arrives with the release of a cinematic and shuddering music video for the song “Forever Overdose”. It currently sits at a whopping 2.3 million streams on Spotify. The haunting rock song is one of her most popular hits for good reason.

Forever Overdose” is a standout of amazing hits with the addictive sprinkle of electronic tones among ghostly and gothic vocals. It’s enigmatic and engaging build up drops into a wave of emotion that listeners can’t help but to hook on to. Near the middle, the song takes a sudden shift. It breaks down into the pulsing rhythm of an electric guitar with a thrashing drum, all topped by Elfeky’s seismic scream. Finally, the song ends with a grand and dramatic release that sweeps listeners away in a haunting tidal wave that leaves them wanting more.

However, the rest of the EP is still getting the attention and popularity it deserves. In fact, on Spotify, “Death of Me” and “Take me Under” are slotted among her popular releases, both individually amassing over 1 million streams. To get to know the other addictive tracks, listen here!

Truly, the EP is an absolute must to experience live. Luckily for fans, we have some exciting news. Throughout 2025, Elfeky is going on tour! Once June hits, she’ll be on her festival run across the UK and Europe. In the fall, she will support Bring Me The Horizon in arenas throughout North America alongside awesome bands Motionless In White and The Plot In You. Grab your tickets and see her cast her spell live.

Be sure to keep this gothic queen on the radar and listen to Surrender today.
