This year would have marked the 20th anniversary for Summer Camp, a four-day festival hosted over Memorial Day Weekend at Three Sisters Park in Chilicothe, IL. Unfortunately, COVID-19 had other plans and while the festival was originally postponed for later this year, the team ultimately made the decision to pull back and celebrate 20 years in 2021.
The festival is known for its low-key vibes and eclectic mix of all music genres, ranging from EDM to bluegrass, and it’s easy to see why many attendees return year after year. Keeping true to their diverse talent mix, the lineup for next year looks extremely promising.
A lot of the headliners have been to SCamp in previous years, which really isn’t a surprise given how long the festival has been happening. And skimming through the other tiers, other world-touring musicians quickly jump out. The best part about SCamp, though, is definitely the undercard. There is so much talent packed into a weekend, so it’s a great way to see someone new. Plus more local talent will be added as the weekend draws closer.
