Stranger Than; Brings First-Ever Music Series to the Petersen Automotive Museum Rooftop in LA

Electronic music has been deeply intertwined with automotive culture since its inception, from the futuristic visions of Detroit techno, to Germany’s post-war industrial landscapes and iconic Autobahn that went on to inspire the sounds and pace of Kraftwerk. Los Angeles nightlife powerhouse Stranger Than; seek to uncover this connection through a partnership with Petersen Automotive Museum, bringing the first-ever music programming to the institution’s design-forward rooftop for a series of events beginning July 2.

Forward-thinking musical curation for the July 2nd event will be provided by Israeli rising star Adam Ten and LA’s own underground maven Dead-Tones, two of house and techno’s most respected selectors.

Never before used as a musical venue, the Petersen Automotive Museum has served as a Los Angeles cultural institution celebrating the artistry and innovation of the automobile industry since its founding in 1994. From vintage classics to modern supercars, the Petersen’s extensive collection of over 300 vehicles takes car enthusiasts on a captivating journey through automotive history.

An architectural feat, the museum’s exterior stainless-steel ribbon facade will provide a unique backdrop for the rooftop show. Attendees of the Stranger Than; event will have the opportunity to purchase access to three floors of the museum, including the ‘We Are Porsche’ exhibit currently showcasing over forty one-of-a-kind Porsche’s in celebration of the storied marque’s 75th anniversary, before reaching the rooftop.

The Petersen Automotive Museum shows exemplify Stranger Than;s reputation for producing events in never-before-used locales. Led by founder Tal Ohana, Stranger Than; is responsible for debuting numerous urban venues throughout Los Angeles, such as Grand Park on the steps of City Hall, El Pueblo in front of Union Station, Ace Mission Studios at the foot of DTLA’s 4th street bridge, and most recently Cabrillo Beach which saw the event collective host one of LA’s only electronic parties to take place beachfront. Stranger Than;s expert musical curation and innovative production have positioned them as the premier stateside partner for global institutions such as CircoLoco and famed Burning Man soundcamp Mayan Warrior.

Additional Stranger Than; shows at the Petersen to be announced.

Tickets On Sale Monday, June 19th at 12pm PST HERE
