With so much havoc around my personal life, I’ve continued to create music that serves as my therapeutic escape. A pleasant mix between indie and alternative hip-hop, “Meanwhile” reflects the positive outlook that Shumaq has focusd his time on building. As a plucky instrumental sets the upbeat tone for the track, smooth tones and silky bars add to the chilled-out vibes that give listeners a good groove to nod our heads to. Shumaq carries a conversational and light-hearted mood within his vocals while a catchy chorus ties a bow on the entire track.
