Saint Harison has released a simple yet evocative visual to accompany the hit song “more weed, less friends” off of his new EP, lost a friend. Directed by Teeeezy C, the video allows us deeper into Saint’s world and into the mind of his new project. As the concluding track, “more weed, less friends” is meant to deeply move audiences, full of Harison’s musical roots in Motown Soul, Pop, and R&B.

The first verse of the track is shot casually, depicting Harison on a couch, wrapped in a sweater and the truth of his own lyrics. Piano gently drifts him from line to line, standing by his side while loneliness comes through his lyrics. The video slowly pans out until he departs from the couch, exiting the spotlight and leaving the room. The empty, cluttered living room stands alone on screen for a moment until we’re brought alongside Harison’s slow pad down the hall and out the front door, slow movements over a trickling, curious keyboard.

“’more weed, less friends’ was such a fun song to write for me. I was sat in my room at my piano and was just listening to old Disney songs. Ever since Banksy opened ‘Dismaland’ in 2015 I’ve always been so inspired by the juxtaposition of escapism and reality. I wanted the song to feel classic, but also real, so I just started writing about how lonely I felt at that time.”
