On February 18, Champion Electric released their first new single, Saccharine, following their pandemic hiatus. Formed in 2016, Nashville-based Indie-Rock group Champion Electric merge their unique ideas to create their sound presented. Influenced by Beach House, Knox Hamilton, and MGMT, Champion Electric created a smooth song with a dreamy state to it.
Their newest release, Saccharine, is a song that feels like a sunny day. The song has an almost ethereal vibe to it that creates an atmosphere of serotonin. The mellow feel of the song is a perfect blend with the vocals to create a welcoming and calm sound. The song speaks about the unsureness of a relationship and the possibility of misconstruing the feelings.
