Rob Thomas Announces One-Night Benefit Show With Special Guests To Celebrate Sidewalk Angels Foundation’s 10th Anniversary

Known as the lead singer of Matchbox Twenty, Rob Thomas returns to the Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa for a one-night only performance to celebrate the Sidewalk Angels Foundation’s 10th anniversary.

Founded in 2003 by Rob and his wife, Marisol Thomas, the Sidewalk Angels Foundation aims to provide the necessary funds and support to no-kill animal shelters and animal rescues all over the country, including in the Caribbean (Puerto Rico, Jamaica, and Bahamas), Mexico, and Serbia.

With the funds raised at the show, the foundation can help organizations continue rescues, proper medical treatments, neuter programs, adoptions, and build proper shelter facilities (since many don’t have physical structure besides fencing and sheds). Through educational programs, the foundation can educate those about the interconnection between animal abuse and abuse towards people.

The foundation not only wants to help shelters, but also homeless people or families with pets to ensure they aren’t forced to give up their pets.

Sidewalk Angels Foundation is partnered with the Global Lyme Allience to bring awareness to protecting people and pets from Lyme and tick-borne diseases.

The benefit concert will take place on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2023. It’s unknown who the special guests are.

In addition to Rob’s philanthropy, the singer-songwriter is a multi-Grammy®️ award winner known for solo hits like “Little Wonders,” “Hold on Forever,” and “Lonely No More.” Some of Matchbox Twenty’s well-known hits are “3AM,” “Unwell,” “Downfall,” “Bent,” “If You’re Gone,” and “How Far We’ve Come.”

He collaborated with Santana on the three-time RIAA platinum certified and three-time Grammy Award winning hit “Smooth.” Additionally, Rob was the first artist to receive one of the most prestigious awards, the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame’s “Hall David Starlight.” He also archived a ton of BMI and ASCAP awards.

You can order your tickets on the Boargata Hotel site or call 1-866-900-4TIX (4849) to order them over the phone.
