Exciting news everyone!
One of the most iconic venues in the United States, Red Rock Amphitheater in Colorado, will be allowed to host in-person concerts this year!
The venue confirmed that the state has given it permission to open at a 2,500 capacity beginning the third week of April (next month!!!) with the option of selling more tickets for shows should COVID-19 conditions improve. This is scaled down from its usual 9,500 person capacity, but it’s far better than nothing. Concert attendees will still be expected to wear masks and social distance. COVID-19 guidelines can be found on their website.
Shows for the year could be announced as soon as Tuesday, April 6th, and acts that were previously booked but can’t play for smaller capacities are rescheduled for 2022. This will allow other acts to take those dates that are freeing up.
Livetronica act Lotus will kick off the 2021 season for two sets each night on Friday, April 23 and Saturday, April 24.

Exact details for opening plans have not yet been released, but music lovers everywhere are surely rejoicing at this wonderful news.
