Bringing a fresh spin to dubstep with his own unique styling known as “commercial dubstep,” Ray Volpe has unleashed his highly anticipated “VOLPETRON ASCENDS” EP upon the world. Available now for streaming on all platforms via Monstercat, “VOLPETRON ASCENDS” is Volpe’s largest release to date on the label. Teased to listeners with the singles “HAPPY SONG” and “EAT SLEEP RAGE,” the EP adds three new transformative tracks to Volpe’s discography with “ASCENSION,” “IT ISN’T ME” with RUNN and “DROP EM.” Spanning across the genres of bass house, dubstep and melodic bass and blending in elements of multiple others, “VOLPETRON ASCENDS” is a true testament to Volpe’s versatility and talent as a producer.
Speaking on the “VOLPETRON ASCENDS EP,” Ray Volpe detailed overcoming the pressure of repeating the success of “Laserbeam” and keeping up the momentum of his career, saying,
“This EP means a lot to me. After the last year of explosive growth, I felt an immense amount of pressure to “follow it up” and keep the momentum going. It caused me to hit a brick wall for a bit, but eventually I broke through and made a collection of what feels like my best work to date. It’s an incredibly exciting and creatively fulfilling feeling.”
Achieving monumental and rapid success following his release of “Laserbeam” last year, Ray Volpe has been in the scene for over a decade and has countless other hard-hitting tracks to his name. Recently closing out the dubstep stage at Rampage Open Air in Belgium, Volpe has been on a tear of massive performances, kicking off his VOLPETRON ASCENDS tour by playing Lollapalooza as well as Moonrise Festival, Bass Canyon, Tomorrowland and more in the past few months. With upcoming appearances at Lost Lands, Nocturnal Wonderland, EDSEA and a back to back with NGHTMRE at Echostage in Washington, DC in November in his future, Volpe is not slowing down any time soon.
