Danish alt-pop artist Polly dropped her liberating new single “Eyes On The Road.“
Surely, we all know the feeling of wanting to leave the worries behind, get into a vintage car and drive off into the sunset. Well, that is exactly what Polly’s newest single “Eyes On The Road” is about.
Following the release her debut album Invitation in 2022, the 28-year-old Danish singer-songwriter Polly reinvents herself with her newest single “Eyes On The Road.” With a powerful voice and retro 90’s synth vibes, she welcomes listeners into a more extroverted and dynamic soundscape. Furthermore, the song rides and energetic wave of big guitars and empowering cheerleader choirs, creating a uniquely carefree flair. The intro sets the stage for the song’s theme with the sounds of a driving car, transitioning into rolling guitars.
About “Eyes On The Road,” Polly says,
“I was in the middle of a huge heartbreak, completely devastated and consumed with sorrow, when I saw the movie ‘Thelma & Louise’ one night. I remember I went to bed and got up the next day, overwhelmed by a strong, powerful energy and desire to just run away, without looking back, to escape from what once was and to be together with those who really matter to me.”
