“Please Have A Seat”: NNAMDÏ Announce Deluxe Album & Tour

NNAMDÏ announced the upcoming release of the deluxe edition of his Secretly Canadian debut album, Please Have a Seat. It will be digitally releasing on Feb. 24 on streaming platforms including his own, Sooper Records. In addition to this, NNAMDÏ also announced a spring tour to follow starting Feb. 17 in New York to Apr. 16 in St. Louis and covering everywhere between the coasts.

Multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, NNAMDÏ, creates alternative and techno-styled tracks that add to his uniqueness as an artist. Please Have A Seat is an alternative album however, with NNAMDÏ’s inclusion of genres like pop and funk within each track, it’s easy for anyone to enjoy and relate to these tracks.

Take for instance “Sudafed”, a song played at most of his recent tours and one of the added tracks on the album. With its upbeat music and its lyric accompanying video created by Janelle Dewitt, it is a song that listeners can relate to and enjoy.

“Sudafed is a song about being at your wits end and how sometimes it makes you react in ways you don’t want to and aren’t proud of. It’s about hitting rock bottom and vowing to yourself to never get there again.”

Songs like “I Don’t Wanna Be Famous,” “Sudafed,” “Dedication” and more speak to heavy human experiences and intense emotion. More importantly, Please Have A Seat works as a means of working through these experiences and emotions. As the title of the album suggests, NNAMDÏ’s work–both his lyrics and his musical genius–make the reader stop and reflect.

Pre-Save Please Have A Seat Deluxe Edition available on most streaming platforms on Feb. 24.
