On November 9, American singer and songwriter Peyton released a music video for her song, “Perfect Peach.” The music video was directed by Jackie Radinsky, and features a series of dream-like events where Peyton and an amorphous love interest traveled through time to find each other over and over again. According to the Texas-based singer, the single’s “overall theme is infinite possibilities in reality and the kismet of still finding true love, no matter where we are in space and time.”

“Perfect Peach” is a song from Peyton’s debut album released earlier this year in July, PSA. PSA is a statement on confidence and self-love, and a bold “outpouring of thoughts into the world,” according to the singer. These elements are present and active throughout her album, as well as this newly released music video featuring herself and Warren Long playing the unknown lover. PSA is a reinvention of soul pop with elements of R&B, allowing for Peyton’s lyrical voice to shine through the 12 wide-ranging and distinctive tracks on the album. The overarching themes of change and growth carry through in the lyrics of “Perfect Peach”: “I can feel you every lifetime. Wouldn’t that be sweet?”
PSA has been critically acclaimed by both fans and critics alike, with many praising her lyricism and artful blending of soul pop and R&B. Pitchfork hailed the album as a “pensive and lighthearted account of the trials and delights of young adulthood” while AllMusic described her as an “idiosyncratic creative force.” Peyton herself has stated in an interview with OkayPlayer that “[she] was told [her] voice is refreshing because of the sense of familiarity that gives a feeling of nostalgia with a different approach.”
