Rave all weekend with New Music Friday Dance, featuring tracks from unique producers and DJs from all over.
1. Ephoric & EQUAL2: “MY DREAMS”
Ephoric and EQUAL2 team up for the fast-paced whirlwind that is “MY DREAMS.” This striking hardstyle track twists and turns with a healthy variety of mechanic grinding, synths, and cartoonish vocal interjections. Released through Basscon Records, the duo made this high-stimulus track for the real noise enjoyers out there.
2. RUZE: “Sample Inspector”
RUZE comes back with their latest single “Sample Inspector” through Factory93 Records. This subdued tech-house track has both a summer-y and robotic feel to it, with an overall warm soundscape complemented by dry vocal samples. The variety of dialogue is a standout feature of the track, hence the playful title.
3. VEIL: “OVERLOAD”
Dubstep DJ and producer VEIL is back with her new single “OVERLOAD,” which conveys otherwordly, eerie energy through a bass-heavy composition. The sound design delivers the title without overwhelming the listener; it is a delicate balance between grinding and growling timbres with bright keys that softly echo throughout.
4. Rusko: “Wassup”
After 2 years, Rusko made his return with a new solo single, “Wassup.” Released through Monstercat, this track is an unbridled concoction of hard drum and bass elements, ready to put ravers in a hyped-up trance. Imagine drag racing in the most science-fiction-looking car, going 120 down an empty highway – that’s the vibe here.
5. MEDZ & SOUNDR: “Wish I Knew”
MEDZ and SOUNDR came together to release “Wish I Knew,” a track with both a euphoric progression and sentimental lyrics. Melodic dubstep can pull at the heartstrings when done right, and this collaboration holds up to that standard. The gradual build hits perfectly, led by the vocalist’s airy, gentle tone.
