#NMF Dance: Our Picks For The Week
New music from Galantis, CALLUSH, Matroda, and more on New Music Friday.
1. Galantis – “1234”
Galantis reimagines Feist’s beloved breakout hit “1234” with a bright, driving synth-pop pulse. It’s the latest single from his upcoming EP The Devil’s Tax Return: Vol 1 (the other gorgeous classic remake introduced by NMF HERE). The remake gives the infectious classic a fresh dancefloor glow while honoring the charm that made the original so memorable. Indeed, Galantis will bring the momentum to New York with MIDSOMMAR shows at The Rooftop at Pier 17 tonight and tomorrow.
2. Dillon Francis & Lizzy Land – “Cry Myself to Sleep”
Dillon Francis and Lizzy Land tap into a more emotional side on “Cry Myself to Sleep.” The perfect pairing of a catchy vocal hook, and euphoric production with heartbreak and midnight melancholy. It’s a classic Dillon move, while turning something heavy into a dancefloor-ready release built to lift the crowd. With a packed fall run ahead, including Gridlife Laguna Festival, Academy LA, Ember Shores, and DILLSTRADAMUS, “Cry Myself to Sleep” feels ready to hit even harder on festival sets.
3. CALLUSH – “Durchgemacht”
CALLUSH releases “Durchgemacht,” an electrifying single driven by atmospheric tension and ferocious rhythm. In particular, its clever mid-track glitch work adds a sharp extra edge, pushing the single deeper into its club-ready force. “Durchgemacht” is undoubtedly a love letter to Berlin’s club scene and German rap culture, a single made for movers, shakers, and anyone ready to surrender to the night.
4. Matroda – “I Need Your Lovin”
Matroda unveils “I Need Your Lovin,” a tech house track ahead of his forthcoming EP. Driven by warm staccato piano chords, call-and-response bleeps, brooding vocal hooks, and weighty bass lines, the track builds its own tense dialogue with the dancefloor. Especially the Sharp, groovy, and fully locked into the matrodasound. At the same time, “I Need Your Lovin” arrives ahead of Matroda’s Day & Night NYC Marathon at Ruins and Knockdown Center.
5. Lewis Taylor – “In My House”
Lewis Taylor returns with In My House. The title track channels classic club euphoria through modern house, UKG, and minimal textures, layering an iconic vocal hook with pumping basslines, crisp drums, bright organ stabs, and retro synth fills. As a result, In My House‘s groovy, high-energy, and sharply produced tracks will head into dates at Groovebox Keel SQ Summer Fest and CUE Croatia’s closing party.

#NewMusicFriday: Our Picks for the Week
New music from Slipknot, Pool Girl, Chase Murphy, and more on New Music Friday.
1. Slipknot – “Arsenal”
Slipknot unleashes “Arsenal,” their first new song in over three years. Undoubtedly, it’s a brutal reminder of their firepower. Packed with pummeling dynamics, razor-sharp vocals, knifing keys, and riffs heavy enough to feel physical, the track channels metal, punk, and hip-hop force into one compressed blast. Nearly three decades in, Slipknot still sound vital, volatile, and fully locked in. They turning “Arsenal” into a fierce statement of strength and survival.
2. bodie, Taylor Hill – “IDOLS“
bodie sharpens his jam-packed new era (NMF have introduced ‘Almost famous’ from this new era HERE) with “IDOLS,” a bold new single ahead of SELL OUT. With Taylor Hill joining forces and blending alternative rock, rap-anchored intensity, and deeply personal storytelling, the single rejects false inspiration and turns ambition, faith, and self-reckoning into something urgent. Meanwhile, the release arrives as bodie kicks off his headline tour this week.
3. Pool Girl – “Frannie You’ll Be Alright!”
Pool Girl drops “Frannie You’ll Be Alright!,”, a dreamy glimpse into her debut album Melancholic Beach Town. Based on hazy synths, surfy guitars, and a steady beat, the track turns sun-faded nostalgia into a warm friendship promise. It is certainly a quietly empowering reminder to keep going, arriving ahead of Pool Girl’s UK and EU tour with Sports this October.
4. Chase Murphy – “First & Goal”
Inspired by nine years of youth football, Chase Murphy’s “First & Goal” turns the golden football memories into a stadium-sized rush. Fueled by a 10-piece brass band, live violin, marching percussion, and a co-ed choir, the track captures the sound of game day while Chase makes listeners feel part of Chase’s own history- cinematic, communal, and full of heart.
5. Selfish Things – “Liability”
Selfish Things shares “Liability,” a fierce new single from their upcoming album Receptivity. From its orchestral opening to its explosive rock drums, the single turns the fractured edge of addiction into something visceral. Paired with powerful, textured vocals, “Liability” cuts deep as a sharp reminder that sometimes we are our own worst enemies.
