Niall Horan’s New Single, “Heaven”, is Finally Coming

Nearly three years of waiting is over! Singer and songwriter, Niall Horan, is dropping his single, “Heaven” on Feb. 17. This single reflects on societal pressures and enjoying his own journey. In addition to the release of the single, Horan will be making his first festival performance later this year. 

Since teasing “Heaven” on Tik Tok, Horan has garnered 100 million views since October of 2022 and fans are ready for more. Now fans can finally mark their calendars and count down the days until Capitol Records releases the single. 

Written by Horan, alongside John Ryan, Tobias Jesso Jr., and Joel Little–who also produced the track–”Heaven” is about being happy in the present, more specifically: being happy in your present. In other words, the lesson of “Heaven” is  letting go of outside expectations and being happy with where you are now. 

“One thing I’ve learned over the years is that society loves to pressure us into reaching certain milestones by a certain age…As I’ve gotten older, I’ve tried to let go of those expectations and just follow my heart. The chorus of this song is saying that what I have in my life currently is amazing. So it would be crazy to ruin that by giving into outside pressure.”

Based on his past projects, we expect this single to be another hit. His debut album, Flicker, released on Oct. 17, 2017, Horan reached Billboard 200 at No.1 and the album included three time RIAA Platinum single, “Slow Hands” and two time RIAA Platinum single, “This Town.” Now, excitement continues to grow for this single, as fans received boxes with a candle, lyrics from “Heaven” and a QR Code leading here.

Following the release of this album, it is clear that Horan is onto big things. On Mar. 6, Horan will be a coach on Season 23 of The Voice. Then, May 26 will kick off his debut festival performance in Boston. You can find more dates below!
